Biography

Arron Storey is an award-winning freelance producer, songwriter and guitarist with over 20 years professional experience. Based in Cambridge and Toulouse, Arron produces and collaborates with a range of artists, helping them bring their vision and songs to life. This can be as a co-writer, arranger/composer or mix engineer.

Storey

Initially influenced by rock bands such as Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Queen, Arron studied guitar in London and spent the first few years of his professional career operating as a guitarist and songwriter, playing in his own originals project, Storey. This included concerts at esteemed venues such as Wembley Stadium, the 100 Club and the Jazz Café, as well as a US tour, festivals and live radio.

Producer

Across ten years, Storey released three albums and five singles and it was through the time spent creating and recording in studios with a number of talented producers and engineers, that Arron started to study music production, and explore how it could enhance his ever-expanding skills as a songwriter. During this time he began to augment his Rock, Pop and Blues roots by absorbing a range of musical styles including Jazz, Classical, Folk and Soul. This scope would soon become an asset when creating authentic-sounding projects with the variety of artists with whom he would collaborate.

Echoes of Time

After a few years hiatus, Storey began writing and producing their third studio album, with Arron controlling mixing and production alone for the first time. The album – a huge project involving a choir, live strings and multi-tracked live band recording – was released as ‘Echoes of Time‘ in 2016 and was a great education.

Toulouse

By 2016 Arron was living in Toulouse and working from a home recording studio, helping artists from many different countries with their songwriting, lyrics, vocals and productions. Along side this, Arron has created a lot of music for children’s media for companies such as Skoolbo and Music MakersMusic Makers; as well as occasionally performing live when the opportunity arose. In 2023 his song, ‘Kelly‘ – co-written with and released by Dutch artist Cas du Pree – won ‘Song of the Year’ in the 2023 OGIMA music awards. This was followed with the 2024 OGIMA ‘Songwriter of the Year’ award. By this time, Arron was regularly performing live keys and backing vocals with established French act I Me Mine. This role involved performing in concerts all over France and Switzerland as the band promoted the release of their acclaimed second album, Tsu-Na-Mi.

The Jam Station

2025 sees Arron back in England, and as he continues his work as a ghostwriter and producer, he’s also re-awoken The Jam Station – a previous project started during down time during the Covid-19 pandemic. The Jam Station offers professional standard guitar education and production, delivered via a busy YouTube channel. Seeing the project grow at such a rate has been extremely rewarding. He studied guitar full time back in 2000, started his career as a guitarist and throughout the phases he spent as a lyricist, producer and songwriter, playing guitar remained Arron’s first love and passion. He now spends much of his time again with his guitar, writing and producing content for the channel and it almost feels like it’s brought his career back full circle.
