Did I say weekly…..?

Hello. If you read my first blog post you may have noticed that I claimed I was going to write a ‘weekly’ blog on this site. Despite the best of intentions, that blog was written and posted on 20 December, making me some sort of liar. Anyway, I WILL try harder. The start of this new year has found me extremely busy, which financially is a good thing. I’ve paid the tax man this month, and had enough money left over to treat myself to a Nat King Cole CD (AMAZING!) and a new shed for my garden.

Rock and roll – I’m very excited, as you can imagine! However, it also means I’ve been very short of time, and am struggling to keep up with such trivialities, as having a life, keeping in touch with my friends and returning calls (apologies if you’ve called me about guitar lessons recently – you’re on my list of things to do). Writing a blog, has unfortunately fallen even further down the list of priorities…

Weekly Practice

On the up side, my car wouldn’t start this morning! As I’m sat here with the sun pouring through the window into my living room on this freezing cold morning, I’m watching a mechanic busy at work under my bonnet, because at 7am, my car decided not to start; even with the assistance of jump leads and my neighbour’s Vauxhall. The ‘up side’ I was referring to, was the fact that as I can’t get into London until my car is repaired, then I’m stuck at home, with a couple of hours to kill. This has enabled me to do over an hour of piano practice (nothing better for calming me down) and I’m now feeling much better about the Adele song I’ve agreed to play at my friend’s wedding in July. 🙂 And then as you can see if you’re reading this – time to write my next ‘weekly’ blog entry.

No Knighthood

Nothing ground breaking to say today, although I will mention that however pleased I was to see ‘Mr’ Fred Goodwin have his knighthood revoked, it doesn’t remove the fact that this was clearly a politically motivated decision to provide a smokescreen for all the banker’s bonuses which are currently heading out of RBS and all the other banks, much against public approval. Mr Cameron must be very blind if he thinks no one will notice that, but a fair decision anyway.

Jack Hardman

Anyway, onwards and upwards. I believe my car is ready – Remember my friend Jack Hardman’s debut single is coming out next month, so more on that on my next WEEKLY blog post next week/month! (delete as applicable). Here is a clip from my new Composer showreel page.

Take it easy.
